The Central Regional NADMO Directorate is currently receiving and assisting ghanaians returnees from the Republic of Benin who have been deported to Ghana on the 14/9/2017.
The Ghanaian returnees were deported because their place of residence has been taken by the Benin Government for a creation of a new harbour.
The Regional Public Relations Officer Mr Eric Arthur explained that a total of 108 have been received and registered, registration and screening is still on ongoing at Esuohyia in the Ekumfi District where the returnees were kept temporarily.
He made that plans are currently in process taking all the returnees to their respective communities.
Speaking to Tv3 CR Kwame Kakraba as it stands now,84 returnees including both adults and minors have been screened by Esuohyia Health Center Staff.
The Regional Nadmo Director and his team and the Ekumfi Assembly are all currently at the scene assisting the returnees for onward conveyance to their respective communities.
