A youth group in the Adansi Asokwa constituency in the Ashanti Region has rejected incumbent MP K.T Hammond, and thrown its support behind Mr Richard Oduro Anokye, an independent parliamentary candidate for the December polls.
According to the Powerful Youth of Adansi Asokwa, Mr Hammond has performed “woefully” and his tenure as MP has been “extremely abysmal”.
“We were blindfolded and ignorantly possessed by party affiliation to continually vote and campaign for K. T. Hammond for all this while, fully aware of the reality that he doesn’t have the progress and interest of the constituency and its constituents at heart, so, we say enough is enough,” the group said in a statement.
